Where our minds fell silent
in the ignition of memory
listen: the moment calls,
direction altered in the living
world. Your presence by
sunshine flummoxed the
ordinate. I am here to
confess. All that I desire
lives inside me like a parasite
consuming empty space
occupying the depression,
the former place of fertile
dreaming, now devoid of
life, defined by absence.
The victory of our union
lives through the
misery it entrained. Forever
I’ve become a thing that longs
for you.
